Reviews of Halali Restcamp in Etosha Park Namibia

My husband & I stayed in Halali for 1 night in December. We were really disappointed in the accommodation (bush chalet), the food and the camp. The bedrooms were clean enough but we were not impressed with the bathroom, kitchen and sitting area. There is nothing to see at the camp and it would be better to stay outside Etosha as the camps are not that far apart like you get in the Kruger National Park so you'll get better value elsewhere.

December was the best time for us regardless of people’s comments about the wet season. The park a galore of wildlife and a must see, we saw almost all the animals we expected to see by the waterhole. However the resort was a bit of a disappointment, the place was dirty and the food was not that nice, most of the staff was friendly.

The campsite and the ablution blocks were very clean and peaceful despite many overland tours using it that night. For breakfast and dinner we decided to head to the restaurant, both the breakfast and dinner were good and there were a variety of dishes to choose from.
Unfortunately the animals were chased away by the guests who decided to use flash on their camera, the next morning we headed for the waterhole which is away from the lodge but near.
