Reviews of Waterberg Plateau Camping in Waterburg Namibia

Check in was lengthy and complicated for no reason, we dealt with more than two people on check in. The place was not well maintained and the road to the rooms had a lot of weeds. The rooms had no air conditioning and it was impossible to open the windows since the place is manifested with baboons.

The patio had no furniture and in place of the furniture there was baboon poop all over the place it was disgusting!!! The staff was rude and unfriendly, the pool area was dirty and the paint was peeling off. This place leaves a lot to be desired and I wouldn’t recommend this place not even to my worst enemy

The cabin we stayed in was further away from the restaurant and reception; the rooms were tidy and had a ceiling fan that was not working. The heat was unbearable since we could not open the doors or windows due to the marauding baboons. We went for a safari drive on the plateau, the bush is very thick and we had difficulty finding any animals.

We spent one night at the campsite, the location in general is ideal but the showers were dirty and there is only one loo without a door. Our site was not ideal since it was on a slope and we needed rock level our vehicle. There is a braai area and wood is available, the place needs to be cleaned.

The campsite is government owned and one of the worst in Namibia, the campsite was very dirty and the showers were broken. There is nothing to this place everything about it is just unattractive.
