How To Get To Protea Hotel

From Johannesburg via Rustenburg (Tollgate route)
Take the N4 from Pretoria towards Rustenburg, pass through Hartebeesport and then Rustenburg and continue straight along the N4.
Pass through Groot-Marico until you reach Zeerust. On entering Zeerust, take the R47 to Mafikeng and the R47 becomes Shipping Street on entering Mafikeng.
At first set of traffic lights, turn right into Nelson Mandela Drive. Continue straight along Nelson Mandela and the Protea Hotel Mafikeng will be on the right hand side.

From Johannesburg via Ventersdorp
Take the N14 to Krugersdorp, continue along this road through Ventersdorp until you reach Coligny. At Coligny, take the R503 to Lichtenburg.
Follow the R503 through Litchenburg until you reach Mafikeng. On entering Mafikeng, the R503 becomes Nelson Mandela Drive. Continue straight along Nelson Mandela and the Protea Hotel Mafikeng will be on the right hand side.
