Ayr enjoys more than 300 glorious sunny days each year, so come visit this winterless north! Located 85 klms south of Townsville, Ayr is on the northern approach to the Burdekin Bridge. This spectacular bridge is known as the “Silver Link”, and was the longest bridge in Australia for many years – it is the district’s best-known landmark.

Visitors and locals enjoy the natural beauty of the rivers, creeks, estuaries lined with mangroves, and the miles of beautiful sandy beaches.
