We have 32 very comfortable and well appointed rooms with a range of bedding configurations to suit all needs. Whether you are a single person, couple, or family, we have a room suitable for you. The rooms arespotlessly clean and very comfortable. All rooms are at ground level with undercover parking at your door.

Restaurant

Our Restaurant and Bar are generally regarded by Guests and Locals as one of Bowen is the best at affordable prices. They are decorated with significant amounts of medieval memorabilia in keeping with the Castle design and theme. Many guests have taken advantage of the great photo opportunities in front of Knights in armour or warriors mounted on horses. It truly does create a unique dining atmosphere.

Conferences and Functions

The Castle Motor Lodge has numerous Conferences and Functions throughout the year. We can cater for everything from small intimate meetings, product demonstrations, regular social club meetings to large presentation dinners and weddings for up to 100 people. We have found no two functions are the same and we pride ourselves in working with the organisers to ensure their function is a success and hassle free.

Directions to Castle Motor Lodge

Bowen is located on the north-east coast of Australia. It has a  halfway between Townsville and Mackay, and 1,130 kilometres by road from Brisbane. Bowen is within 140 km of the giant Burdekin dam so a plentiful supply of fresh water will never be a problem no matter how many tourists discover Bowen's pristine shores and spacious hinterland, or how many high tech industries decide to locate themselves in Bowen's new industrial park, or how many farmers may want to grow small crops under Bowen's abundant sunshine.

By Plane
Flight access is via the major airports of Whitsunday Coast (Proserpine) and Hamilton Island, or Mackay and Townsville Airports which are a 2 hour drive from Bowen. Queensland Rail’s “Spirit of Queensland” provides regular connections in and out of Bowen.  Coach services connect daily, and provide north and southbound services.
