Beautifully Restored

The limestone cottage was built around 1880 by local stonemason George Morce as his own home and is now beautifully restored so that guests can enjoy modern comforts in an historic setting. The suites are spacious with their own lounge and dining areas, queen size or king size and single beds.

Victorian open gas log fires, flat screen television, DVD player, CD player, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, and luxury ensuite bathrooms with double spas. Sumptuous breakfasts are served each morning, if the weather permits breakfast can be served in the cottage garden! Guest facilities include a barbecue area, communal kitchen and commercial laundry.

George Morce King Suite- this king suite is named after George Morce who built the cottage in 1880 and many other limestone buildings in the Sorrento Village.

Sir Henry Queen Suite- this queen suite is named after Henry James Tayton, a local Plumber who was involved in the construction of water tanks in his workshop (now the Gallery) for the Sorrento Village.

Lord Coppin Queen Suite- this queen suite has a romantic 4 Poster Bed, and is named after George Selth Coppin who was recognised as the father of Sorrento He successfully promoted Sorrento as a holiday resort.

Attractions

Point Nepean National Park- point nepean has a rich history and plays an important role in the early Sorrento settlement, quarantine and for the Defence of Victoria. The Park is located at the very tip of Mornington Peninsula with outstanding coastal scenery and panoramic views of Bass Strait, the Rip and Port Phillip Bay.

Peninsula Hot Springs- natural hot mineral springs open 7 days a week, just a 15 minute drive from the Motel.

Polperro Dolphin Swims- port phillip bays original, family run, award winning dolphin swim operation.

Gunnamatta Trail Rides- situated nearby in Rye. The adventures include horse riding on the beach or along tracks through the bush. Rides range from 1 hour to a full day.

Portsea Golf Club

Dromana Drive In- situated approximately 25 minutes drive from Sorrento Beach Motel, Dromana Drive In provides an excellent form of entertainment for the whole family.
