Sleep

Hotel Cessnock offers great value, clean and spacious pub style accommodation in the heart of it all. Our friendly onsite staff are highly knowledgeable on our local area and are only too happy to assist with making the most of your stay in the picturesque Hunter Valley.

Hotel Cessnock offers 17 newly renovated rooms, with all rooms containing air- conditioning and a TV. A variety of bed configurations is available, which is great for group bookings. Just let us know what you need and we’ll do our very best to accommodate you.

Daily housekeeping is provided to all rooms and a self-serve light breakfast of coffee, tea, orange juice, cereal and toast is included in the nightly room rate.

Being less than 10 minutes from Hope Estate, Bimbadgen Estate and Tempus Two, Hotel Cessnock is an ideal place to stay when going to a concert at any of these venues. You’ll appreciate our comfy beds when you eventually get to lay your head on the pillow.

The beers at Hotel Cessnock have all tastes covered. There’s an extensive range of beers on tap from the big names right through to something you may never have seen before. There’s even Guinness. In fact, if it’s Guinness that you seek, it’s the only place in Cessnock to enjoy the perfect pint.

Every Saturday is Solid Gold at Hotel Cessnock featuring DJ Sez playing all your requests from the 70's, 80's, 90's and today from 8.30pm. You can also back up on Sunday afternoon where there’s jam sessions in our beer garden from 4pm.

We’ll help ease you into the working week with a bit of fun on Monday nights with our pool competition. There’s even darts for the ladies each fortnight on Tuesdays. Concerts are regularly held at Hope Estate, Bimbadgen Estate and Tempus Two. You aren’t anyone if you haven’t played the Hunter – the great news is that we’re so close if feels like they’re having a concert in our backyard. We are also close to the Cessnock Performing Arts Centre and the Cessnock Regional Art Gallery with both venues regularly hosting local events.

If you don’t like golf, don’t like concerts but love nothing more than jumping on your motorbike and touring the country with your mates then we are the place for you. If you’re a bike enthusiast you’ll wake well rested and find yourself in the perfect spot to explore in a number of different directions – the vineyards, ride into Newcastle or head down Wollombi Road and Putty Road. We also offer fenced off security parking for bikes.

Directions to Hotel Cessnock

Plane

Cessnock Airport is the nearest gateway in the region that offers charter and helicopter flights only. Visitors from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane can take a flight going to Newcastle Airport for approximately an hour. Newcastle Airport which serves domestic flights is the second convenient gateway to reach Cessnock for an hour drive.

Trains and Buses

Take a train from Sydney Central going either to the stations in Maitland, Morisette or Newcastle. These three stations has connecting coaches going to Hunter Valley, Cessnock. Travel duration depends on the station prefered by passengers. It is advisable to check train timetables to plan ahead your journey.

Car

There are various routes from Sydney that could take you to Cessnock and the Hunter Valley Region. Drive north to Sydney Harbour Bridge and continue to the National Highway. Take the M1-Pacific Motorway going towards Newcastle and take the exit Freemans Drive- B 82 going to Maitland-Wollombi Rd in Cessnock. Visitors who are opt for wine tasting must have a reliable driver since the country has strict drinking laws that are policed throughout the region.
