Directions to Jackaroo Hostel
From Mission Beach Bus Station
We run a free shuttle to and from the bus station every day from 8am to
9pm. If your bus arrives outside these hours, you will need to take a
taxi. The taxi must be booked the day before you arrive and will cost
approximately $25.
Heading South From Cairns Head
South on Bruce Hwy / National Highway A1. Go 133km, Turn left onto El
Arish Mission Beach Road. (There are signs for Mission Beach Bingil Bay).
Go 5.5km, Turn Left onto Bingil Bay Road. Go 5.5km. The Jackaroo Hostel
is located on the right hand side. Look for the big Jackaroo sign.
Heading north from Tully, Townsville, Ayr,
Bowen or Mackay Head north on Bruce Hwy / National Highway
A1. Turn right onto El Arish Mission Beach Road. This is the 2nd Mission
beach exit. (There are signs for Mission Beach Bingil Bay). If you take
the 1st exit you will need to go through South Mission beach towards Bingil
Bay, Mission Beach. Turn Left onto Bingil Bay Road. Go 5.5km. The Jackaroo
Hostel is located on the right hand side. Look for the big Jackaroo sign.
From Tully Train Station The
nearest railway station is located in Tully (25 kilometres inland from
Mission Beach). A taxi service is available to transfer you from Tully
to Mission Beach and the cost is approximately $60-$80 for a vehicle that
can seat up to 4 passengers.
