Directions to Koonyum Range Retreat
Byron Bay is located at the easternmost point on the
east coast of Australia, 2.5 hours drive south of Brisbane. Byron is one
hour drive south of the Gold Coast Airport and 25 minutes north of Ballina/Byron
airport with regular flights servicing both. Koonyum Range Retreat
is
located on the edge of the Koonyum Range, 6km up Wilsons Creek Rd, towards
Wilsons Creek just past the Mullumbimby Golf Course. For general location,
From Byron Bay:
Drive toward the highway and over the bridge as if going NORTH toward
Tweed Heads but do not enter the highway. Instead, just over the bridge
continue straight across the highway then turn LEFT onto Myocum Rd. Follow
for approx. 11.6km through rolling farmlands, until you come to a stop
sign at the T Intersection. Turn RIGHT towards Mullumbimby then an immediate
LEFT on Wilson's Creek Rd. Drive 5.6km up a winding hill until you reach
"Koonyum Range Rd. Turn RIGHT on the dirt road and proceed slowly.
Drive exactly 1.8km, look for a sign opposite our first driveway that
reads Koonyum Range Retreat
. Turn right into the driveway for the Edge
and Lotus villas, turn right at the next driveway for the Poolside Studio
and left at the 3rd driveway for the Koonyum villa.
From the Highway:
Take the Mullumbimby Exit and proceed to Mullumbimby. Drive to the end
of the main street until you come to the last intersection where the POST
OFFICE is on the left corner and the POLICE are on the right corner. Turn
LEFT at this intersection proceed past the swimming pool, bowling club
and high school, then out of town past the Mullumbimby Golf Course. At
the end of the driving range on your RIGHT you will see Wilsons Creek
Rd. Drive 5.6km up a winding hill until you reach Koonyum Range Rd. Turn
RIGHT on the dirt road and proceed slowly. Drive exactly 1.8km; look for
a sign opposite our driveway that reads Koonyum Range Retreat
. Turn right
into the driveway. Turn right into the driveway for the Edge and Lotus
villas, turn right at the next driveway for the Poolside Studio and left
at the 3rd driveway for the Koonyum villa.
