Olims Bar and Resto

Olims Bar and Bistro is ideally located, on the ground floor of Mercure Canberra, on Limestone Avenue with a large beer garden overlooking Mount Ainslie. The Courtyard Restaurant is located on the ground floor overlooking our beautiful internal courtyard and gardens. Offering a Modern Australian menu for dinner from Tuesday through to Saturday and a delicious Continental or Full Buffet Breakfast daily, The Courtyard Restaurant is sure to please one and all.

Conference and Events

Carlton Room A newly renovated Canberra function room is perfect for larger conferences. The Carlton Room can be set in numerous configurations and may be accessed through the lobby or via the street for exhibitions and for loading facilities.

Grovesenor Room The Grosvenor Room is adjacent to The Carlton Room and can be used to enhance that space or as a smaller conference facility on its own. The room is accessed through the main lobby of the hotel and is adjacent to the piano lounge which boasts a lovely open fire in the winter months.

Directions to Mercure

By Plane Canberra International Airport only serve flights from Melbourne and Sydney. There are flights almost hourly to Sydney and frequent flights to Melbourne. It takes approximately 50 minutes from Sydney, 1 hour from Melbourne, 2 hours from Brisbane and Adelaide, and 4 hours from Perth. The hotel is a 20 minute ride from Canberra.

By Train There are a lot of train connections offers scenic route going to Canberra from Sydney. The train rides takes 4 to 5 hours. Melbourne trains also serve routes going to Canberra.

By Bus All coaches from Canberra stop at the Jolimont Centre, in the city centre and immediately across the road from the Canberra local bus interchange.

By Car The drive from Sydney to Canberra is 290 km and takes around three and a half hours from the Sydney CBD, less from outer suburbs in Sydney. The drive from Melbourne to Canberra is 650 km and takes roughly eight hours on the Hume and Barton Highways, again mostly on dual-carriageway roads.
