A Peaceful Area Moore Park Beach is a peaceful area just 15km north of Bundaberg, Queensland. It is home to Bundaberg is the best beach, 17 unbroken km of sand and ocean, just 200m from Moore Park Beach Motel. With the glorious beach as well as parks and playgrounds, the duck pond, bike track and lagoon walk, we really are ideally situated for a peaceful, safe, relaxing holiday. Just across the not busy road is the childrens playground and the Moore Park Beach Bowls and Sports Club. Adjacent to the Bowls Club is the Community Hall, sporting fields, tennis court and skate bowl. We welcome your pets traveling with you; the beach and park opposite are also pet-friendly. |
Accommodation Double Room- can sleep one person or a couple. Standard Rooms- each have a queen bed and a single bed. They can sleep 1, 2, or 3 people. Family Rooms- have a queen bed and 2 sturdy bunks, catering for 2 adults and 2 children. |
Attractions Moore Park Beach- only 200 metres from the motel is the best beach in Bundaberg with 17km of pristine sandy beach line. Turtles- moore park beach is a nesting site for green, flatback and loggerhead turtles in the summer months. Fishing- with 17kms of beach to explore, beach fishermen should be able to find a gutter holding a feed of fish. Whiting, dart and bream are the main species caught. 4WD Tracks- 4×4 driving is allowed
on the beach both north and south of the township areas. There are 2 access
points to find some beaut fishing spots, both estuary and beach fishing. |
Lagoon Walk and Bird Watching- the lagoon just one street behind the motel is home to a wide range of birds; it would be so easy to sit for hours in the peace and quiet of the lagoon area, just watching and listening. Moore Park Beach Festival of Arts- the moore park beach festival of arts is one of the annual spring highlights of the Wide Bay/Burnett Regions cultural scene. Coral Coast Community Cottage- known as the pink house, this cottage on Pacific Boulevard houses our local information centre and the volunteers love to see visitors and talk about the area. Bowls Club- the moore park sports and bowls club just over the road welcomes visitors for a meal at Bistro 21, a drink, maybe a game of bowls, a flutter on the pokies or just a chat with the locals. Tavern- the moore park beach tavern on Murdochs Rd is a favourite watering hole for many locals. Don’t take the risk, just call the tavern and take the courtesy bus there and back. |
Saddle Me Up Trailrides- saddle me up trail rides has recently opened in Moore Park Beach, offering horse-riding for all levels of riding competency. They cater for groups of 6 or less, with the minimum ages of 6yo for trail riding and 4yo for a led pony ride. Bundy Rum- bundaberg rum is known and enjoyed far and wide. Great Barrier Reef- bundaberg is the southernmost point of the Great Barrier Reef with ready access to both Lady Elliot Island and Lady Musgrave Island.
