Since 1903 the Royal Automobile Club of Australia (or RACA) has provided Sydney with the perfect location to meet, dine, stay or socialise.

From its origins as a Motoring Club, the RACA continues to grow with a diverse membership base, engaging events program, comfortable accommodation facilities, dining options, a health club, garage and business centre. Not to mention it’s a sought after location for both functions and weddings alike.

Located at 89 Macquarie Street, the RACA is a short walk from Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House, the Royal Botanic Garden as well as many other major Sydney attractions, making it the ideal base to explore the city from.

When visiting the Club, guests can choose from one of 29 accommodation rooms ranging from single rooms through to Harbour Deluxe Suites; perfect for business or leisure.

Our dining facilities include both our Harbour Dining Room and Members Bar, with our dining room offering breakfast, lunch and dinner along with stunning views across Sydney Harbour and the Royal Botanic Gardens. With a no booking policy, a fantastic bar menu and a cocktail and wine list second to none, the Members Bar is ideal for those impromptu moments.

Finally, we offer some of the finest function spaces in Sydney. The RACA combines the beauty of a heritage listed building with a first rate menu and exceptional service. With seven separate spaces, the RACA has the perfect option for every function.

Dining and Drinks at the RACA

Whether it is a business lunch or a birthday dinner, our dining options suit a range of tastes and occasions. From a la carte dining, to a casual snack or light meal, you are sure to find something to suit your taste and budget.

We are always ready to meet our Members’ needs and strive to exceed their expectations. Our team of Chefs and waiters are dedicated to providing you with the very best dining experience. Though our menus are extensive, we are always happy to cater for those with special dietary requirements.

The Harbour Dining Room is located on Level 7 of the Club and, as such, offers stunning views across Sydney Harbour and the Royal Botanic Gardens. As the Club’s main Members’ dining room, the Harbour Dining Room serves breakfast every day, lunch Monday to Friday and dinner Monday to Saturday.

The Members Bar, located on the Macquarie Street level and offering partial Sydney harbour views, is an ideal place for a pre dinner drink, or a less formal dining experience. The Members Bar provides Members and their guests with tea and coffee, light meals and snacks and a comprehensive range of beers, wines and spirits. It is open from 11:00am during the week and from 5:00pm on Saturday.

The RACA Health Club

The RACA Health Club is accessible to members and their guests located on Level 1.

Convenience not only in location, but also in space, range of equipment, services, facilities such as a sauna and steam room. Every aspect of the gym is laid out to reduce the amount of time and effort it takes for you to get fit and healthy. You won’t find a more convenient location in Sydney.

Members and their guests may book into one of the 29 rooms at the Club’s central city location. We are a short walk from Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House, Royal Botanic Gardens and other major Sydney attractions.

Our bedrooms are well appointed with air-conditioning, digital TV’s, Foxtel, wireless internet, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar and other modern conveniences. Room service is available and room rates are inclusive of a continental breakfast buffet. Hot plated breakfast options available. Many rooms have spectacular harbour views and a family suite is available.
