Byron Bay is located at the easternmost point on the east coast of Australia, 2.5 hours drive south of Brisbane. Byron is one hour drive south of the Gold Coast Airport and 25 minutes north of Ballina/Byron airport with regular flights servicing both.

Byron Bay is the most easterly point of Australia and is located in the Northern Rivers region in New South Wales, just off the Pacific Highway, approximately 800kms north of Sydney and 170kms south of Brisbane. It is famous for its creative population, alternative culture, night life and golden sandy beaches. Wollongbar Motel is conveniently located two minutes walk from the town centre with a private path to the golden sandy beaches.
