Reviews of Kubu Lodge in Kasane Botswana

The setting and people there are just so friendly, the sound of the hippos in the evening are so peaceful and relaxing. the elephants in the area made the holiday so awesome and with vic falls only an hour away its definitly the palce to stay.

Perfect place for us 3 generations to stay. Sharon and her staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, even to being driven to town and collected again after dinner at a Kasane restaurant. Breakfasts and dinners - fantastic! Chobe River sunset cruise - yes, I think I could do that every day.

The rooms are not the same as what you expect, it is dirty and messy. It is outdated and there's spider webs and old linen. The restaurant was also a bit dirty and out dated but the food was fabulous. We went on boat trips and game drives, the game drive was terrible, the guide was on his phone the whole time and the car broke down, we didn't get to see a lot of wild and when we eventually saw a lion we couldn't stay long because there was another game drive planned in the same time we were still supposed to be on ours. I did not enjoy that much.

After a few days of camping we visited Kubu Lodge and even though the water was cold the shower felt great. The layout by the river is nice and bar staff was very polite and welcoming. The dinner was nice, there was just a limited choice though. The photo opportunities that we got of the sunset while being on the boat cruise was phenomenal.
