Reviews of Oasis Lodge Zanzibar in Tuli Block Botswana

Having been to different Oasis Lodges before, we were expecting a certain standard.We were in for a big disappointment at the River Chalets at Zanzibar. The camp was in a neglected state with Litter strewn around. The pool was completely dirty and could not be used. The chalet itself was shocking, broken window catches so that you could not open the windows. The blinds were broken and the curtains had holes in them.The bedding was shabby and well worn. The shower,bathroom and kitchen were not clean. This was meant to be self catering but there were no glasses.There was only one side plate, one pudding bowl and four dinner plates.There was only one bedside light and that had no globe in it! There were no tables or chairs available to sit at and enjoy the location of being on the Limpopo. The staff did their best to help us but with no backing from their manager. Most unsatisfactory as this is in a remote area, the border was closed and there is no option of another hotel. A sad end for us to what had been a wonderful holiday in Botswana.
