The lodge is ideally situated close to the entrance of Nata Sanctuary, along the main road 5km south of Nata Village. With gorgeous, breathtaking vistas as a backdrop, you will come face to face with the abundant creatures of the bush and some of the most spectacular sunsets.
Accommodation at Pelican Lodge
We offer cool thatched standalone chalets as well as family accommodation and a lavish presidential suite. All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers, air-conditioning, television, a fridge, a phone, Internet access, and a tea/coffee set.

Executive Restaurant and Bar
The splendour of the surroundings can only be matched by the superb food served at the two restaurants: Boma Restaurant and Executive À la Carte Restaurant.
In addition to the fine dishes offered at both restaurants, diners can also expect to find local seasonal treats on the regularly changing menu.
Pelican Lodge can cater for a range of functions both during the day and at night, utilizing a number of different venues including the restaurant, bar, Boma, poolside, or the large braai area at the campsite. Any theme can be realised or atmosphere created.
Boma Restaurant
Mealtimes at Pelican Lodge are events not to be missed. The thatched outdoor restaurant overlooks the pool, and the splendour of the surroundings can only be matched by the superb food served at the Boma.
Swimming Pool
The lodge features a spectacular African map swimming pool with a unique gazebo overlooking it, offering welcome relief during those hot summer days. Activities such as bird watching and watching the sundown will also be conducted.
Activities
Binoculars at the ready, guests are treated to a ramble at Nata Bird Sanctuary. Bird-life is prolific throughout the year, and with the diverse vegetation, our experienced guides are not too challenged when it comes to providing tickers with the opportunity to see both the rarely seen and the equally beautiful pelicans within the area.
This activity is best undertaken in the early morning or late afternoon and is the perfect 'gap filler' for guests on the move. Nata Sanctuary is part of the Makgadikgadi Pans, specifically Sua Pan, which is the largest (approximately 252 km²) of the three pans that make up the Makgadikgadi Pans.
Apart from its spectacular view, which changes throughout the year, you will also enjoy a wide range of wild animals, including hippopotamuses, vervet monkeys, aardvarks, springboks, black-backed jackals, wildebeest, and others.
There is also ample space and facilities for various activities, including quad biking, picnics, and braais, away from the animals to avoid disturbing them or corrupting their natural habitat.
Conference Facilities
Situated at Pelican Lodge and Camping, Nata International Conference Centre is a distinctive convention facility that can host up to 200 people cinema-style and 150 in a U-shape layout. It is suited to the needs of both international and local meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions.
Catering for all your business requirements, the Business Centre is located at the unique reception of the Conference Centre, offering computer workstations with Internet and email facilities. Whether it is a trade show, wedding, or any kind of banquet, our venues, facilities, and quality service set us apart.
Our main conference room is the largest in Nata, offering seating for up to 200 delegates and is fully air-conditioned. We offer various conference packages that include accommodation and catering.
Our conference room is equipped with an overhead projector, multimedia projector, white projecting board, flip chart, television/VCR, and PA system. Secretarial services and Internet access are also available.
