About Chitabe Camp

Chitabe Camp is situated on a beautiful island in the Okavango Delta, within a private concession bordered by the Moremi Game Reserve. The area's diverse vegetation includes mopane woodlands, floodplains, and permanent waterways, providing a rich habitat for local wildlife.

Visitors can expect to encounter healthy populations of birds and mammals, with common sightings of hippo, lion, zebra, giraffe, cheetah, and kudu.

The main camp is positioned on a raised deck, offering great views of the floodplains from the thatched dining room and bar. This elevated area allows animals to roam freely, and they often come at night to seek shelter under the walkways.
