About Kwetsani Camp
Kwetsani Camp consists of five furnished 'tree-house' chalets, each with its own en-suite bathroom. These chalets offer open, airy accommodation made of thatch, wood, glass, and canvas.
The dining room, lounge, and drinks area are constructed under a large, cool thatched roof, offering incredible vistas of the surrounding floodplains, which are dotted with lechwe, wildebeest, and other plains game. Guests can also observe this wildlife from a communal pool or the comfort of their own rooms.
Activities at Kwetsani Camp
Kwetsani Camp offers excellent land and water activities, depending on the annual flood levels of the Okavango Delta. These include:
- Game drives
- Wildlife viewing by mokoro
- Two platform game viewing hides in the concession
Wildlife
Lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah, tsessebe, and red lechwe are among the major game attractions at Kwetsani Camp. Hippos, sitatunga antelope, and crocodiles reside in the deeper, permanently lily-filled lagoons of the area.
Nocturnal animals such as porcupines, aardwolves, servals, large spotted genets, and lesser bushbabies can be observed on night drives, water levels permitting.
Where is Kwetsani Camp?
Kwetsani Camp is primarily water-based and is set on a long, narrow island in the beautiful Jao Concession (NG 25) in Botswana's Okavango Delta.
