Machaba Camp Okavango Delta

The name "Machaba" is the local Setswana word for the Sycamore Fig Tree, also known as the tree of life. These trees are abundant in the Okavango Delta and most African riverine forests.

Machaba trees are renowned for their abundant fruit, which feeds a vast array of animals throughout the year, including elephants, baboons, bushbuck, green pigeons, and many more.
