About Mapula Lodge
Mapula Lodge, wrapped around the trunks of African hardwoods, offers a panoramic view that engulfs you in the wonders of the Delta. Private decks, shaded under the canopy of the water fig tree and the albizia, provide the ideal ambiance for high tea or sundowners.
Accommodation at Mapula Lodge
This magnificent lodge has 7 twin rooms, 1 double room, and 1 family unit. Each room has been effortlessly built on stilts, rising above the bush shrubs. Each room features an en-suite bathroom, a complete open-air shower, and a traditional zinc bathtub. These exquisite rooms offer either large double beds or two spacious single beds, a lounge area, and a private deck.

Mapula offers excellent game viewing all year round. Wild dogs have been present in the area for the past few years, and lions and leopards are also very active in the Mapula region. Prolific birdlife makes this the ideal setting for keen bird watchers.
Where is Mapula Lodge?
Mapula Lodge is situated on a private concession of 12,000 hectares in the northwest seasonal floodplains of the Okavango Delta. The concession borders the world-famous Moremi National Park.
Getting to Mapula Lodge
Mapula Lodge is a 45-minute, breathtakingly beautiful, scenic flight from Maun International Airport. One of the air charter companies we use for this flight is our sister company, Major Blue Air.
Mapula Lodge has its own airstrip, called Xarakai (pronounced Kari-ki), with the coordinates 18°52' south, 22°42'3" east. A member of the lodge staff will collect you from here with cold drinks and a warm smile!
