Set within the Harnham Water meadows site of special scientific interest and facing Salisbury Cathedral, this 16th C Tudor building was built as England first papermill and is within easy reach of such treasures as Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral and Wilton House.

This ancient old coaching inn offers accommodation in 11 individual en-suite rooms with original beams and spectacular views over the water meadows and the Nadder mill pond.

The Old Mill offers comfortable accommodation in 11 en-suite rooms, all tastefully furnished in a traditional country style. Superior rooms offer a guaranteed view over the Millpond as well as a super king size bed and a guaranteed bath and shower.

Tea and coffee making facilities are offered in all rooms as standard and include ground coffee and hot chocolate.

All rooms offer TV, internet access, CD/DVD playing equipment, Microsoft office, telephone. Standard and Twin rooms offer either two single or one standard double bed, with either mill pond or garden view and shower or shower and bath.

Directions to The Old Mill

From the South West and Exeter via the A303: From the A303 travelling East, join the A36 at Deptford towards Langford Lakes and Salisbury.Go past Stapleford, Stoford and South Newton (beware 30 mph camera!) until Wilton.
At Wilton, bear left toward Salisbury and just after the garden centre turn right onto the A3094 towards the racecourse and the livestock market.
Pass these and also the Golf course and then take the next turn left into West Harnham.Bear right onto Middle Street and shortly after Constable Way turn left and you will see the Old Mill in front of you.

From the North and Newbury via M4: Leave the M4 at junction 13 heading for Newbury. Continue past Newbury until you reach the A303.
Follow the A303 westwards towards Salisbury until you reach the junction with the A338.Join the A338 towards Salisbury joining up with the A30.
This road will bring you to the Ring Road at St Pauls Roundabout. Turn left onto the ring road and follow it past the Southampton (College Roundabout) exit.
At the next roundabout turn left (1st Exit) towards the racecourse. Bear right at the top and at the junction take the right turn into the A3094 (New Harnham Road).
Continue along here for half a mile and (after cricket field) after the road splits turn right into Lower Street. Continue for 300 yards and turn right onto Town Path where the Old Mill is situated at the end.

From the North, Bristol and Wales via A36: Follow the A36 through Bristol and Bath towards Warminster and Longleat. Keep on the A36 until you reach Wilton.
At Wilton, bear left toward Salisbury and just after the garden centre turn right onto the A3094 towards the racecourse and the livestock market.

From London and the East: Follow the M3 west until it becomes the A303 (Andover, Salisbury). Follow the A303 westwards towards Salisbury until you reach the junction with the A338. Join the A338 towards Salisbury joining with the A30.

From the South and Portsmouth via the M27: From Southampton or Portsmouth, pick up the M27 Westwards as far as Junction 2 (Ringwood).
At the Roundabout take the exit for the A36 North towards Salisbury. Follow this all the way to the Salisbury Ring Road along the Southampton Road, past Tesco.
At College roundabout, turn left (1st Exit) At the next roundabout turn left (1st Exit) towards the racecourse. Get into the right hand lane at the top and at the junction take the right turn into the A3094 (New Harnham Road).
Continue along here for half a mile and (after cricket field) after the road splits turn right into Lower Street. Continue for 300 yards and turn right onto Town Path where the Old Mill is situated at the end.

From South and Bournemouth and Poole: Pick up the A31, A348 or A338 North Eastwards and follow as far as the Ringwood Roundabout.
At this Roundabout, follow the A338 towards Fordingbridge. Continue past Fordingbridge and through Downton. You will pass a filling station on your left and soon after will reach Harnham junction. Go straight over and exit on the A3094 towards Netherhampton and West Harnham.
Continue along here for half a mile and (after cricket field) after the road splits turn right into Lower Street. Continue for 300 yards and turn right onto Town Path where the Old Mill is situated at the end.
