High Belthorpe is a lovely, traditional Victorian farmhouse set in very quiet, rural surroundings, located at the end of a no through road, at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds.

Nestling in its own shelter belt of established trees – a very old spreading chestnut tree dominates the back lawn – the house exudes a sense of peace, solidity and calm; a real rural retreat from the hustle of busy modern lives.

High Belthorpe is at the centre of a livery yard, home to around 25 horses and we have an assortment of hens, ducks, geese and peacocks. In the spring you will usually be able to see lots of babies – ranging in size from foals and puppies to tiny chicks.

High Belthorpe is a fabulous place to come and relax for weekends or holidays. We are close enough to the historic city of York for a full and energetic day out or evening meal, and yet we are located in a peaceful and tranquil environment and can offer all the home comforts you would expect from a Yorkshire farmhouse.
High Belthorpe has 3 letting rooms; 2 very large family/double en-suite rooms and a further double with private bathroom next door to it.

High Belthorpe is a dog-friendly bed and breakfast. One of the large family rooms is located upstairs with fabulous panoramic views over the surrounding hills of the Yorkshire Wolds.

The other family room is located on the ground floor and has its own private access to the garden. This room is a great favourite with dog owning visitors, who are our specialty, being dog lovers ourselves. All rooms are, of course, centrally heated with lashings of hot water, have colour TV’s (Freeview available on the ground floor), internet access and hospitality trays.
