Located in the picturesque 12th century ‘North Hill’ area of Minehead, Marston Lodge Hotel is ideally situated as a base from which to explore, Exmoor, north Devon and the west coast of Somerset. Being amongst the first private residences built on Exmoor’s scenic North Hill, above Minehead, Marston Lodge Hotel enjoys unrivalled panoramic sea views from most of the rooms.
Marston Lodge Hotel is therefore, extremely tranquil with no latent traffic noise and only the peel of church bells, the cry of seagulls, and the swish of the surf to disturb the peace and quiet at night, our four local owls often serenade North Hill residents to a peaceful sleep.
To the east, the hotel overlooks the spectacular beaches and coastline from Blue Anchor Bay to the greens of the West Somerset and Minehead Golf links.
To the west, there is the imposing 11th century Norman, St Michael’s Church and the charmingly thatched cottages of Minehead’s ‘Higher Town’. North Hill and Exmoor National Park are scientifically classified as ‘a tranquil rural area’… one of only a few left in an increasingly crowded and noisy England.

All 10 spacious en-suite rooms have beautiful views. The majority have far reaching views of Exmoor, the Quantocks and the coastline.
Those at the back of the house overlook the pretty and secluded garden where the hotel’s own hens roam free amongst the blooms. In keeping with the Edwardian style of the house, the rooms are individually decorated to convey warmth and welcome.
High ceilings and large windows create a sense of space and warm colours give a cosy and relaxing atmosphere.
