Nestled in the heart of Shanklins beautiful Rylstone Gardens stands the Rylstone Manor Hotel. Rylstone Manor was originally built as a gentleman's residence in 1863 and remained a private residence until 1923. The Manor is of Victorian proportion and incorporates a blend of Gothic, Tudor and Georgian influences which reflects its unique charms both externally and within.
The exquisitely decorated interior offers a warm and intimate atmosphere, where you are encouraged to just relax and enjoy its unique surroundings.
Rylstone gardens are situated on the cliff top overlooking the Shanklin, Sandown bay and are just a short walk from the beach front, Shanklin Chine and the Old Village with its thatched shops and cottages. Shanklin Town is within a twenty minute walk of the Hotel and offers a good mix of shops and services.
Buses to all parts of the Island can be caught from the centre of the Town, and a train service is also offered to Lake, Sandown, Brading and Ryde.
The Manor offers Private parking for residents and is a good base for those wishing to explore the Island by car.

Rylstone Manor Accommodation
Ash Bedroom: A superior room at the front of the house overlooking the gardens with sea glimpses and a feature window seat.
Ash bedroom is the lightest room in the hotel and very popular with regular guests. It is furnished with items from the Willis and Gambier Ivory Furniture Collection. This room has a 5’ Double Bed from the same collection. The en-suite has a telephone handle style shower over a bath.

Beech Bedroom: This is our Superior four poster bed (5ft), popular with honeymooners and special occasions.
The room has a dual aspect with a window to the front of the hotel and one to the side looking out towards the chine and Sandown Bay through the trees. The en-suite has a shower cubicle.

Cedar Bedroom: The bed is 4’6" with white Laura Ashley dressing table and bedside cabinets in the Shaker style.
There are two small feature windows in the room one above the old fireplace, with shutters. There is a shower cubicle in the en-suite. Cedar is our smallest bedroom and is therefore occasionally let as a single when required.

Elm Bedroom: A house double with a feature upholstered window seat. This room was refurbished in 2009 with Sanderson (tulips) wall coverings and fabrics for curtains and bed cover.
Lead crystal and brass light fittings. The en-suite has a double length shower cubicle. The view from this room looks onto our private and enclosed garden looking towards the Shanklin Chine.

Fir Bedroom: This is our house twin or 6ft double bedroom. The William Morris wallpaper is from the Chrysanthemum range and has ivory hand-painted wooden furniture throughout.

Maple Bedroom: Our Superior twin or 6ft double bedroom. Maple bedroom is the largest room in the hotel. There is a triangular feature window seat and an alcove with a sofa and easy chair to sit and relax in.
The en-suite has a 3/4 corner bath with a telephone handle style shower over.

Oak Bedroom: The 4’6" bed is complimented with traditional antique dark wood furniture. This room looks out to the garden towards the Shanklin Chine.
This room also has a small feature window. The en-suite has a bath with a telephone handle style shower over.

Yew Bedroom: A superior 5ft double. This room was recently refurbished and we are awaiting some photography. The room is decorated in Jane Churchill wall coverings and fabric giving a light and calm ambience.
This room is favoured by those who like a traditional room with antique dark wood furniture and dressing table.
The view from this room is out to the front of the hotel onto the gardens with sea glimpses through the trees. The en-suite as a bath with a telephone handle style shower over.
