With it’s cathedral dominating the skyline Truro makes for one of the best inland destinations in Cornwall. Being the only city in Cornwall, Truro has become the administrative, cultural and financial center of the county. Like a lot of Cornwall, Truro has undergone redevelopment in recent years with “The Hall For Cornwall”, a new flagship “Marks And Spencer” (and surrounding Lemon Quay), Treliske retail park, with PC World etc. and another park recently opened at Three mile stone which includes stores such as Comet, Matalan and JJB sports. The city has lots of car parking, numerous places to eat, a wealth of pubs and at least one fairly large nightclub (L2). Truro also has the largest selection of high street stores in Cornwall all located in a compact and level shopping center. Getting to Truro is easy with good road access as well as a train station on the main line between Penzance and Paddington.
