Aikane Kauai is among the small group of homes by Pious Beach. This is an ideal choice for a couple, family or small groups, especially those looking for a place by great swimming and snorkelling beaches with the spaciousness, comfort, privacy and value of a quality vacation home.

Our home stocked with about everything you may need adding to the convenience and value for a wonderful stay on Kauai.

Enjoy the convenience. In addition to snorkeling and body boarding, you'll find coastal walks, restaurants, shops and more in the immediate area. This gives everyone flexibility and spontaneity to do things together or independently without having to drive.

Just walk out the front door past 2 houses to the ocean then along the coast past 3 more homes to reach the first of a string of beaches. My favorite, Brennecke's Beach, is the closest. The next beach is Poipu where you'll find a protected sandy bottom lagoon.

The house is fully insulated and has thermal windows making it one of the most comfortable vacation homes at Poipu Beach.

Restaurants

Here are a few descriptions of what I think are some of the better places to eat.
For personal recommendations, I like Casa di Amici and it’s only a block inland from the Aikane. Kalapaki Joe's and Brenneckes Beach Broiler are 3 blocks from the house.

Da Crack is a Mexican take out place we like. It's adjacent to Kukuiula Market. The Beach House Restaurant is 5 minutes west and is on the water.

Activities

Golf Courses on Kauai

Poipu Bay and the Kiahuna Courses are within a half mile from the house. You'll find a greater mix of residents and visitors the Kukuiolono Golf Course and Wailua Municipal Golf Course.

Snorkeling

Generally, the best snorkel beach is right around the corner from the house between Poipu Beach Park and the Marriott. It's about a five minute walk along the coast and through the beach park.

Groceries

For groceries and other supplies, the most convenient stop and widest selection is at the Kukui Grove Shopping Center. This will be on your left about a quarter mile out of Lihue on your way to Poipu. This is the home of Times Supermarket, Longs Drug Store, Macy's, CostCo and among others.

FISHING

You can shore fish 100 yards from the house. Waves can be a hazard anywhere on Kauai with the biggest ones coming in at 30 minutes or longer intervals.
