Spend your vacation at Hale Moana bed and breakfast on the Big Island. This exquisite bed and breakfast is located in Leilani Estates in the beautiful and tropical area of Puna, 30 minutes from Hilo (International Airport) and the Volcanoes National Park and 5 minutes from Pahoa.

Hale Moana bed and breakfast is a licensed, quality, inspected bed and breakfast surrounded by two acres of tropical botanical gardens in an ambience of old Hawaii.

Rooms And Suites

Four suites with living room or dining room and kitchenette, one studio, all with separate entrances and private bathrooms. The kitchenettes in our larger suites are equipped with stove tops (Garden and Lanai Suite), microwave, refrigerator, rice cooker, toaster, coffee maker, dishes and more. All rooms have ceiling fans, walk-in closets and great air circulation.

Garden Suite

Is located on the first floor with its entrance and living room looking out into the garden. The suite offers a kitchenette, dining and living room area with Satellite television and a separate bedroom with a king size bed. The apartment is perfect for a couple. To accommodate a third person a single bed can be moved into the living room. Because of its first floor location the suite is easily accessible.

Makamae Studio

Is located on the first floor with view and entrance into the garden. The studio is a cozy room for one or two persons. It has a king size bed and offers a little coffee and tea station, refrigerator and Satellite television.

Pualani Suite

Is on the first floor looking out into the beautiful tropical garden. The Suite offers a sitting area and a kitchenette. The apartment has its private bathroom and separate entrance. With its king-size bed the suite is spacious and perfect for a couple. It it directly accessible from the carport and wheel chair friendly. There is direct television and free WiFi in the suite. Whether you are planning a Big Island vacation, longing for some time out or dreaming of your honeymoon, the Pualani Suite is a wonderful treat!

Breakfast

Our Gourmet Island Breakfast is included in our rates and is served in our breezeway every morning with a variety of tropical fruits, cheeses, meats, pan cakes, french toaster, eggs, a variety of breads, cereals and your choice of Kona coffee, tea and juice.

Directions to Hale Moana Bed And Breakfast

From Hilo

From Hilo town or airport drive in the direction of Volcano. Turn left at the Keaau by-pass onto Pahoa-Kalapana-Highway (Hwy. 130). Follow Hwy 130 past Pahoa, until you come to mile marker 13. Slow down, a few hundred yards further turn left into Leilani Estates. Now, follow Leilani Avenue to Makamae Street. Turn left here and drive almost to the end of Makamae Street. Our bed and breakfast is the last house on the right hand side. There is also a sign right at the driveway. The house number on the mailbox across the street is 13-3315.
