Manu Mele literally means Bird Song in Hawaiian. Each morning, Manu Mele Bed & Breakfast is visited by many different types of birds. These birds come and share the comforts of Manu Mele. Share this experience with us and wake up to the songs of birds.

Here at Manu Mele, comfort and privacy are our topmost priorities. We want to make your visit a pleasant and memorable one.

Manu Mele Bed and Breakfast is just 25 minutes away from Honolulu International Airport via the scenic new H3 freeway. We are located in the lush, tropical, windward side of O'ahu [Gathering Place in Hawaiian] in the town of Kailua, Hawaii.

Apart from the exquisite beaches, Windward Oahu offers golf courses, hiking trails, nature walks, botanical gardens, and good restaurants. There are bike ways perfect for the recreational and serious athlete.

Accommodations
Each room has its own private entrance and dining area. A guest telephone is located by the main entrance. We permit smoking in the garden, but not in the guest rooms. You can choose between two guest rooms: the Hibiscus Room or the Pikake Room. Each room has their own unique qualities.

7 Layers of Comfort
Our guests often comment on how comfortably they are and how wonderful our beds are.
Each bed is set with seven layers of comfort: foam topped mattress, three matress covers, high-count cotton sheets, light blanket and our beautiful Hawaiian quilt bed spreads.

Hibiscus Room
Our master suite derives its name from the Hawaii State flower, the Hibiscus. It is the bigger and more majestic among the two rooms. It offers:

Pikake Room
Named from the sweet fragrant Jasmine flower which was once planted in the gardens of Iolani Palace. Pikake literally means peacock in Hawaiian. The Pikake Room offers:

· Coffee maker
· Flat-screen HD Cable TV

Directions to Manu Mele Bed and Breakfast

From the Airport - take the onramp and move safely to the left lane. Fork left to H1 West (Waiane). Follow the freeway around past Pearl Harbor and Aloha Stadium. Move Safely to the right lane and take the Hwy 78 Exit to Honolulu and H3 Kanohe.

Follow H3 North through the Harano Tunnel, through Kaneohe, to Exit 15 Kaneohe Bay Drive just before Marine Corps Base Hawaii (about 18 miles).

Welcome to Kailua
At the exit stop sign, turn left and drive south through two stop lights past Aikaihi Park Shopping Center and over the Kawainui Canal Bridge.
Across the bridge, take the first left at Kailuaana Place.

Manu Male Bed and Breakfast is the first home on the right at the corner.
We're just a short walk from dining and shopping at Aikahi Park Shopping Center and just a short drive to shops, restaurants and activities in Kailua town.
