Welcome to the Inn at Kulaniapia falls which is situated on 22 lush tropical acres. Enjoy our private 120 ft. waterfall just 15 minutes from downtown Hilo. Enjoy Kulaniapia Falls or stroll along the powerfull Waiau River to the Bamboo Garden and enjoy a pavillion that cantelevers over the river with views of our triple tiered waterfalls.

Our Rooms

Our Guest Rooms are located in either the Residence or a building we call Harmony. Nestled between these two building is a very private single family home we call the Pagoda Guest House. All our rooms have private bath clad in marble and equipped with soaps and shampoo's and hairdryers. Most of our rooms have private balconies and private sitting areas and all rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished.

Prince Kalaukaua Room

Equipped with a King size bed and hand carved Asian furnishings, the Prince room has beautiful views of Hilo Bay and the ocean from the body of the room and peaceful Orchard and ocean views from the private balcony. Also equipped with a private bath entirely finished in Italian Marble.

The Pagoda Guest House

This private, 3 story 1 1/2 bath residence is designed to be comfortable for up to 4 adults and 2 children (16 and under)s. Complete with its own kitchen, dining room and broadband, high speed internet access, the Pagoda will embrace you with its oriental charm. Built on a cliff that overlooks Kulaniapia Falls, this one bedroom home provides some of the most incredible views imaginable of Kulaniapia Falls.

Harmony

Jasmine Room

Jasmine Room - One of our downstairs rooms at Harmony, the Jasmine Room is a bit larger than the upstairs room and has a King size bed. Also equipped with a large format flat screen LCD television and satellite receiver, private bath finished in marble, Chinese antiques and art.

Orchid Room

Also a downstairs room, the Orchid is the only room at Kulaniapia with a full bathtub and shower enclosure also completely finished in Italian Marble. Also equipped with a King size select comfort bed (numbers bed), this room allows you to adjust the firmness and comfort of your mattress. Also equipped with a flat screen television and cable.

Hiking trails, swimming in pond below our 120 ft waterfall, working mac - nut farm, walking trails along river, bamboo garden and 3 more waterfalls, Sight-seeing and Swimming.

Directions to The Inn at Kuluniapia Falls

Direction From The Hilo Airport

Turn right at the first traffic light after leaving the airport (Highway 11). Turn left at the next traffic light (Kameha-meha Ave.). Continue through downtown to the last traffic light (Waianuenue) and turn left. Go one block and turn right (Keawe St.). Go over the bridge and make the first left after the bridge (Ohai St.).

Continue one block to the stop sign. (From this point it is four miles to the Inn, all of which is paved. After the stop sign, continue straight ahead one mile to the next stop sign and turn left (Maikalani St). Continue one more mile and at this point you'll come to a Kulaniapia directional sign and the road goes straight up through 2000 acres of macadamia nut trees. Continue straight ahead and continue following the signs to the Inn.
