The Kwando River forms the heart of the Zambezi Region of Namibia, previously known as the Caprivi Strip. On a private island in the Bwabwata National Park, Kazile Island Lodge offers accommodation within a mangosteen forest, overlooking the Kwando River and expansive floodplains all the way to the Horseshoe Bend.
With herds of buffalo and elephants traversing the marshes and floodplains and the sounds of birds chirping in the trees, guests are invited to explore the waterways and enjoy the ambience of the beautiful wilderness.
