The Island of Mactan close by the city offers the closest beaches to the
city and several resorts dot the far side of Mactan island, you can visit
these as a day trip from the city or stay right on the beach with all the
city life just a short ride away.
As well as the aiport Cebu City has two bus stations, north and south, where
you can take buses daily to many of the fantastic islands and places around
Cebu island:
Cebu north bus terminal has buses going to: Camotes Island, Malapascua Island,
Bantayan Island
Cebu south bus terminal has buses going to: Moalboal, Oslob, Dumaguete
And there are boats from the port (pier one and pier four) going to Bohol,
Dumaguete, Siquijor, Cagayan do Ouro, Leyte.
Cebu City seems to always have something going on, and there is plenty to
keep you occupied around the city.
I n January every year is the Sinulog Festival, the biggest festival in the
Philippines, the city gets packed full during this month long festival and
hotels beds are at a premium.
