Without a doubt the best beach on the island, not only does it have lovely
white sand fringed with palms, the water along the beach is shallow for a
good distance making it great for children and those who want to go into the
water but not swim.
There are places to stay along Dumaluan Beach and if you are lucky enough
to stay at one of these you just walk out onto the beach, if however you are
staying near Alona where most of the accommodation is you will need to get
either a trike to Dumaluan (Php70) or rent a bike for the day (Php 400), there
is one more thing to be aware of, the resorts along the beach control access
to the beach (and keep it safe clean) so you will have to pay an entry fee
Php50 per day valid from 6 am to 7pm.
Alona Beach keeps going after sunset, the other beaches have no night activity so head to Alona beach for sunset drinks and an evening meal on the beach, most restaurants spill out onto the beach as the sunbathers retreat for the night, making for a romantic memorable place to eat.
