Twyfelfontein is one of Damaraland’s well-known attractions and the first site to be declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site in Namibia. The gallery of ancient rock engravings give one a glimpse of the lives lived by the Khoisan-people many years ago in this dry and barren area.
Despite the heat and the dust - which is part of everyday-life - the beautiful landscapes and spectacular sunsets make a visit to Damaraland an important part of a tour through Namibia.
Mowani Mountain Camp offers 7 exclusive campsites, set between massive ochre boulders, not far from Twyfelfontein and central to the huge variety of attractions of Damaraland.
Mowani Campsite Accommodation
Setting up camp in this Community Conservancy gives one the opportunity to share in the ancient history of life in this prehistoric land. Each campsite has its own facilities, including ablution, for ultimate privacy.
