Reviews of Rainbow Hotel in Beira Mozambique

Rainbow hotel is set up in an ancient building with bathrooms that were rusty, carpets were stuffy and the air conditions made strange sounds. The hotel needs a make over, from bathroom fittings to doors and carpet. The staff were really helpful, always smiling and well mannered , they are left to apologize to disappointed customers. The manager, Nyasha was very helpful but the Rainbow group needs to put some money to refurbish the place as all their staff were left to do is apologize to disappointed customers especially after seeing the colorful brochures they use to advertise.

I stayed at Hotel Mozambique based on the other review of this hotel & can definitely recommend it. We paid $75 for a double room (1970 Meticais) ($69 for a twin bedded room) & stayed on the 12th floor which had a great view overlooking the sea & municipal swimming pool. A good buffet breakfast was included in the price but the air condition in the breakfast room didn't appear to be working so it was a pretty warm experience to put it mildly.
Parking is in front of the building but there are guards at night & I didn't feel that security was an issue. My only complaint is that some of the reception staff could've been more welcoming. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

This is a 15 storey hotel which has just been redecorated, the rooms are capacious. The beds are comfortable and clean, the rooms have air conditioners. The bathrooms are a bit uneven and had cockroaches running around whenever the light is turned on. There is a computer connected in the foyer even though it is too slow and there’s also laundry service which has been exceptional and cheap.

This was the worse hotel i have ever been in, it was expensive, falling apart, dirty and most of the things were not working. I will say we were told that the hotel had been bought in June 2010 by Rainbow Hotels of Zimbabwe and that reconstruction funds were being requested but this did not justify the crazy price. Staff was friendly and apologetic
