Reviews of Hotel Monte Carlo in Maputo Mozambique

The locks on the doors should be updated, one of my friends had an incident late at night where his door didn’t want to open and none of the other keys worked on the door, the only other key was with the manager, and he was at home already. There was no other way into the room and the manager didn’t want to come all the way to the hotel just to open up for him, very poor managing! And the staff gave him another room to spend the night in. All his belongings were still in the other room though.

The following day, guess who didn’t show up? The manager! My friend wanted to break down the door and they insisted on him waiting another day for the manager to get there, so they didn’t think or worry about my friend still being in the same cloths the entire time. So they went to have a window broken so that he could collect his things. On check out they had charged him for the window that had been broken, but it wasn’t on him, if only the manager had come to open the door for him which was his duties, nothing would have had to be broken in the first place.

The manager did not want to accept the fact that he was in the wrong. Other from the lack of managing and kitchen staff being extremely loud early mornings and late nights, the rooms are okay and nice and tidy.
