Reviews of Turismo Hotel in Maputo Mozambique

If you have another option in hotels in Maputo I highly suggest you go somewhere else. I’m not sure what to begin with; it has a horrible odor, in all the areas of the hotel. Rooms are unattractive, filthy and very small. The bed was uncomfortable, my toilet seat was broken and the windows were dirty. I stayed here for 4 nights and avoided the room as much as possible. I insisted on going to another hotel as this one just wasn’t worth my time. As I drew my pillow closer there was this big blob of gooey stuff on the pillow, and threw it off of my bed, what a terrible stay… I couldn’t wait for check out time. And that’s not even the worst; there are still the towels and the curtains etc….

This hotel isn’t wow, but from what I heard, it wasn’t as bad as what others thought it was. There is parking but it is not secure, we had to pay the guards non-stop to watch our vehicles. There is wifi available but you have to pay for it and it in anyway hardly ever works. The lifts aren’t in best condition, usually only one lift works and it can only take 4 people max. Taking your luggage to the room with the elevator is still acceptable but advising to use the stairs the rest of the time. They do not always have what’s on the menu so you have a limited option of food available, the food is nothing to be happy about, just the usual stuff.
