| I was excited to come back to this hotel for the
3rd time, using it as a stopover. The hotel isn’t of the cheapest,
and there are a lot more luxurious hotels we can go to for the same
price, but I like the atmosphere and the fact that it is comfy.
Unfortunately it wasn’t 3rd time lucky, but 3rd time unlucky…
It was my final stay as I was shocked in what happened. We traveled
a long way to get here, and the room that was given to us smelled
horrible, cigarettes. My son’s room was worse, the neither
the toilet nor the air con was working. While they told us they
were updating the place, I don’t think so. We went to go put
in a complaint about the nasty rooms, and then we were off to relax
and have a drink at the bar.
The staff at the bar was so rude, they didn’t even bother
to see if we wanted anything because they were so into the football
game, and eventually when we wanted wine, they said they didn’t
have any. One of the staff members found a half a bottle wine for
us in the empty restaurant. The waiters in the restaurant had no
clue to what was going on, on the menu and the food we ordered looked
inedible. All the things we wanted to order were unavailable, so
they just gave us this, without even asking if we wanted it.
When I wanted to speak to someone in charge, I was informed that
there was no-one to speak to. I was not going to pay for the food
that was given to us at the restaurant and they said that the manager
would be here the next morning. So the next morning as we wanted
to meet with the manager, they told us that he was busy showering.
It really made me furious. He arrived and told us he was the international
CEO and had no clue what so ever about what was happening. No one
had told him what was going on. He then called all the staff, and
had a word with them in front of us. It was very unprofessional
and they suggested I put a complaint on their webpage. I will definitely
never go back to visit that hotel and I wouldn’t advice anybody
else to go there either. |
