Reviews of Vilanculos Beach Lodge in Vilanculos Mozambique

We spent a few nights at this place in a so called Presidential suite; to be honest there was nothing Presidential about the suite instead it felt like a family suite. For the first two days there was no hot water, we lodged a complaint and the manager was distant and rude, she never even apologised for the inconvenience.

There is no safe in the suite!! Outside the kitchen there was a lovely table and chairs for decoration purposes only and not for use. The mosquito nets in the room had holes of over and mosquito moved freely from one person to the next. The restaurant had a limited if not one dish (fish); we tired of eating fish every day.

We spent a week at this lodge; the manicured lawns and the pool were amazing. The restaurant and the airy bar are worth noting, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. We had a prawn braai organised for us for our anniversary at no extra charge. Great place for unwinding!!!
