Anda Ca Lodge is situated on one of the most picturesque stretches of beach on the Mozambique coast line, with spectacular views of pristine beaches and the clear blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Praia da Barra, where Anda Ca Lodge is situated, has unspoilt beaches and is bordered by the Inhambane Estuary on the one side and the ocean on the other.
The warm Indian Ocean offers safe bathing all year round and the wide open, sun-drenched beaches offer endless hours of strolling pleasure.
Beach Houses
Each house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living area and kitchen.
All the basic amenities are supplied including fridge, freezer, 4 plate gas
stove, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, utensils, mosquito nets and bed linen.
Each house has its own braai area and outside shower.
All cleaning materials and towels are to be provided by guests. The houses are serviced daily. They sleep 6 to 8 people comfortably. The traditional reed and wooden roof structures create a charming atmosphere and sets the scene for an unforgettable holiday.
Chalets
These rooms are all en suite with double beds, mosquito nets and linen. They
are serviced daily. These rooms are available on a bed and breakfast basis.
All you need bring are your towels, clothes, etc. All rooms are serviced daily, and are equipped with mosquito nets above the beds and all beds come with bedding.

We can offer a wide array of different water sports such as scuba diving,
snorkelling, catamaran day trips, charter boat fishing, kayaking, dhow
trips, quad bike trails, horse riding etc.
Scuba diving:
Our diving is world class and is regarded by some as the best in Mozambique.
The density and variety of marine life is astounding. We have 17 different
dive sites available to you. We have the world famous Manta Reef, Office
and Amazon. Salon, with resident ghost and red scribbled pipefish, juvenile
frogfish and several species of shrimp that gives this site its name.
Dive gear hire is available and training is also offered. They cater for
both novice and advanced divers.
There are large selections of dive sites from shallow inshore reefs catering for novice divers to deeper reefs for the advanced divers. Marine life commonly seen include devil and manta rays, whale sharks, turtles, potato bass, moray eel and a huge variety of reef fish and for the lucky few a sighting of the rare dugong. We have leopard sharks and reef sharks, and the haunting song of the humpback whales when they are here in winter is an awesome accompaniment to awesome dives.
Kayaking:
Adjacent to the lodge are saltwater mangroves with crystal clear waters.
Kayaking in the mangrove is very popular.
Snorkelling:
The shallow snorkelling reefs are filled with colourful tropical fish
and fascinating corals. Snorkelling may also be enjoyed in the sheltered
lagoon with an abundance of juvenile fish and seahorses.
Charter Boat Fishing:
Our big game fishing is as good as you can get anywhere in the world.
Marlin, sailfish plus a variety of game fish can be caught in these waters.
We promote a catch and release programme.
Sightseeing trips:
Inhambane - First founded by Vasco da Game in 1534 it was the most southerly
slave port established by the Arabs. The cathedrals, old colonial Portuguese
architecture, African culture and local market places all make it a fascinating
town to visit.
Traditional Arab dhow sailing on Inhambane Bay is also recommended as an unforgettable experience.
Horse Riding:
Your dream of riding on horseback along a deserted beach can become a
reality. Rides are normally done in the early morning or late afternoon.
Guides will assist with young riders.
Quad Bikes:
An eco friendly guided quad bike trail through the coconut plantations
and local villages adds a new dimension to your Mozambique holiday. The
guide will take you into areas that one would normally never see. Learn
about the daily lifestyle of the local people, the crops they grow, coconut
harvesting, even get to taste the local brew made from the cashew nut.

Self Drive:
Anda Ca Lodge is situated 485km North of Maputo and 25km from the Provincial
Capital of Inhambane. Access by road is a pleasant drive on a tarred road and
the last 7km is on a dirt road which is suitable for the passage of 2 x 4 vehicles
right up to the entrance of Anda Ca Lodge.
By Air
Direct return flights are available from Johannesburg on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday
and Fridays. The flights are operated by LAM – the official airline in
Mozambique.
