The Barra peninsula is bordered by the Inhambane estuary on one side, on the other side of Barra peninsula is the sea shore with long white sandy beaches. The barra peninsula is accessible in a normal car, although a four wheel drive is recommended. The last few km’s to get to Barra Dunes Resort are on a sandy road.
Barra Dunes Resort is uniquely positioned on the Indian Ocean side of the very
top of the Barra peninsula. A couple hours a day, the resort becomes an island,
cut off from the main land due to high tides. It is an amazing site to see as
the tides come and go.
