LaGoa Quissico is an eco lodge that boasts exquisite sunsets, peace, tranquillity and beauty. The bird-life here is exquisite, and there is always the option to simply lull away the day by the lagoon. Diving excursions can be arranged in nearby Zavora. Fast becoming a well known location for kite boarding enthusiasts, other activities include swimming, canoeing, water volley ball and nature walks. Or you may just like to stroll along the beautiful beach where you can spot whales at certain times of year. The lush gardens provide a perfect background for relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere.

Accommodation at Lagoa Eco Lodge & Backpackers

Accommodation at Lagoa Eco Lodge & Backpackers Camp consists of 16 units: a mix of natural stone and canvas walls with wood and glass doors, shaded by a thatch roof. Each unit, is designed to blend into the surrounding scenery, and consists of a bedroom, en-suite bathroom (with outdoor shower) and a veranda for stargazing or sleep outs.

2x Dormitory
The dormitories are each spacious with own en-suite bathrooms. Set over 2 stories, the unit accommodates a maximum of 8 guests and guests have the use of the fully equipped kitchen. The views from the second floor are gorgeous.
Set amongst our lush gardens, our main dorm is a two storey building that sleeps up to 14 people. It has open plan sleeping upstairs (11 beds) , and downstairs is additional sleeping (3 beds), showers and toilets.

Dorm features include shared bathroom with shower only, separate toilet, outdoor shower, single beds and spectacular views of the garden and lagoon. Smoking in the rooms is prohibited and dormitories are equipped for self catering.

2x Rondavel
Our lagoon facing rondavels are set amongst beautiful gardens and are each equipped with own en-suite bathroom. There is a fully equipped communal kitchen for those self catering guests and other features include double beds, balcony / patio, views of the garden and the lagoon. Smoking in the rooms is prohibited.

5 Sleeper Chalet
This chalet is a two storey building with it’s own private garden facing the lagoon. It sleeps up to 5 guests. Upstairs there is a double bed and two single beds, open plan. Downstairs is the shower, toilet and a living / kitchenette area with a single sofa bed.
Other features include tea / coffee facilities, sleeper couch, garden and lagoon views, private bathroom with only a shower. Smoking in the rooms is prohibited.

5 Sleeper Bedroom In Shared Chalet
This chalet is set in a beautiful location down by the lagoon. Whilst it can sleep up to 8 people in total, because of the layout of this chalet a bedroom can be booked on a sharing basis for smaller groups. The chalet consists of two open plan bedrooms.
One bedroom sleeps 5 and has a double bed and three single sofa beds. The other bedroom has a double bed and a single sofa bed.

The kitchenette, dining and living area are divides the two bedrooms. The bathroom has two toilets and shower rooms and is also in between the bedrooms.
This quote is for the larger bedroom sharing the communal living and kitchenette area. The kitchenette, dining, living area and bathroom would be shared communal areas.

8 Sleeper Chalet
Set in a beautiful location down by the lagoon, this chalet can sleep up to 8 people in total. There are two open plan bedrooms, 1 bedroom sleeps 5 guests and has a double bed and 3 single sofa beds. The other bedroom has a double bed and a single sofa bed.
The bathroom has two toilets and shower rooms and is also in between the bedrooms. The kitchenette / dining / living area divides the two bedrooms.

Where is Lagoa Eco Lodge & Backpackers?
Quissico is on the EN1 highway, 350 km north of Maputo and 150 km south of Tofo. Regular shuttle buses run in either direction. Quissico hospital is on the EN1 highway. Our turn-off is directly opposite the hospital.
You will see our sign where you will follow the sand road for 7 km over two small bridges. We are on the right-hand side on the lagoon.
