Welcome to White Sands
White Sands is uniquely positioned on the tip of the Barra peninsula which juts out into the Bay of Inhambane on the one side and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean on the other. At high tide, the resort becomes an island – cut off from the main land for a few hours per day.
White Sands was set up to help you make your holiday an unforgettable one. Being around our beach for only minutes, you will be amazed by our little paradise.
Accommodation at White Sands:
This popular Mozambique camping resort in Barra, Inhambane, offers 2 x 6 sleeper
and 2 x 8 sleeper self-catering chalets (a few metres from the water’s
edge) and a large campsite - set amongst a forest of coconut palms - complete
with communal ablutions, braai facilities, baraccas, power and lighting throughout
the camp.
Roman House and Lua 10 Sleeper - The chalets are self-catering and have basic cooking utensils, gas stove, freezer and braai facilities. Bedding and mosquito nets are provided. In each unit there is one bedroom downstairs with a double bed and single beds in the upstairs 'dormitory' area.
Each unit has 1 bathroom with a shower. There is a balcony upstairs and a veranda downstairs for guests to relax and enjoy a braai.
Lua 10 Sleeper also has an open plan kitchen, living room, and is fully equipped for self catering.
Duna Branca - Each unit also has 2 baths with showers plus a tub in the master bath. Spacious air conditioned living room area and full kitchen including cooking utensils, serving sets, stove, fridge with freezer. Enjoy a large deck area with table and chairs overlooking the beautiful ocean. Electricity and all other modern facilities are available. Each house sleeps 8 people.
Camping - Some sites have lapas (Barraca's) which provide for some extra shade. The ablutions are clean with both hot and cold water. 2 campsites share one central power point and you need to take extension cords with. The only electrical equipment allowed are deep freezers and fans. A Maximum 6 persons per campsite will be allowed.

Clients are allowed to bring Generators for extra electrical
equipment and can run Generators for 10H00 to 22H00
