On the crest of the ancient sand dunes of the Namib Desert, the Namib Dune Star Camp provides accommodation in an intimate setting of only nine cabins.
The large deck at each cabin overlooks the spectacular landscape and the beds can be moved out onto the deck for an adventurous sleep under the stars.
As an extension of the Namib Desert Lodge, the camp is situated only 60 km from Sesriem and close enough to all the breathtaking attractions to be visited at Sossusvlei.
A thrilling experience of sleeping out in the desert is offered to adventurous travellers, while still enjoying the luxuries of soft beds and hot showers.
Namib Dune Star Camp Accommodation
Each of the rooms have a large bedroom and spacious deck.
The double beds are designed to be wheeled out for a night under the stars and extra bedding is supplied to ensure you sleep comfortably during the cold nights.
No air-conditioning, fans or plug points are available and guests are required to be mindful of the limited resources.The facilities are eco friendly, leaving a light footprint and runs on solar power and solar water heating.

Seven of the nine units have a double bed which can be wheeled out onto the deck for an adventurous night under the stars.

Triple Rooms
Two of the rooms on the dunes have an additional single bed to accommodate a third person.
This additional bed does not have wheels and cannot be moved outside like the double bed can.

Namib Dune Star Camp Amenities
Dune Star Camp is not reachable in private vehicles and guests are transported from the main lodge area to the camp.
Breakfast and dinner is served at the restaurant facilities at the main lodge.
The balcony at the central lodge has unrivalled vistas and is the ideal place for a sundowner drink while enjoying the breathtaking sunset.
