Barren and charred |
The lodge has 60 chalets perched along a hillside;
other chalets are a long distance from the main building which houses
the restaurant, bar and the reception area. The lodge is less than
10 kilometres from Andersson Gate, prior to our visit there was
bush fires and it destroyed the bush on arrival it was barren and
charred but form the deck we could see distant views of the savannah
and it was amazing.
Star gazing was breath taking, the lodge has 3 stunning pools and
one of the three was close to our cabin. The cabins are well appointed
and fully equipped with air conditioner, walk in wet room, mosquito
nets and a safe. The food was reasonable priced, plentiful and very
delicious but the dessert was set not many options, there were assorted
cold meats to choose from in the morning and the fruits were fresh |

The manger was active |
We were warmly welcomed with ice tea and wet face
cloth, checking in was fast and the staff was very friendly, helpful
and knowledgeable. Our cabin was close to the lodge and the room
was clean, tidy and spacious, the manager was present and active,
he went out of his way for our comfort and we were impressed. The
views are amazing and the food was scrumptious, we had a great time
at this place and we will definitely come back. |

Our cabin had no parking
space |
This camp is close to the western entry gate to
Etosha, the camp is perched on a hill top with amazing views of
the savannah bush. The cabins have little private patios to sit
and take it all in, the only problem for us was our cabin had no
parking space so we were parked far and we had a hard time carrying
our luggage to the cabin.
So when booking make sure you ask for a cabin with parking space
despite all this the food was delicious and the staff was friendly
and helpful. We had a great time here we even went for hiking and
we drove to Etosha where we saw a lot of game and the salt pans. |
