Reviews of Cape Cross Lodge in Henties Bay Namibia

After several days in the heat in the Etosha Park the breeze at Cape Cross is doing a world of good. The hotel's location could not be better, right on the sea. Except the lodge there is nothing, apart from the somewhat distant seal colony. An open balcony door, you can enjoy the waves. The beach invites one to walk for hours. The maritime decor of the room is very appropriate, the room nice size, clean and comfortable. The food was very good, as is the wine selection. The staff was very nice and attentive. Only the permanent musical "sprinkling" in the bar and restaurant area disturbs the sound of the sea alone would suffice.

The Cape Cross Lodge at the edge of the Skeleton Coast National Park and directly at the huge fur seal colony located impresses with the loneliness. Our room in the main house with great views over the sea and the sunset with passing cormorants could we enjoy in peace and quiet with a glass of white wine. At most, some caution is required in the offered free cake - which might be a bit dated in some circumstances.

We stayed here in early February, just after the refurbishment. We spent one night here before the official opening, we were treated like royalty. The rooms were spacious and clean right on the beach and the food was well prepared and delicious. The service was fast and efficient we had an exceptional stay here.
