Real treat |
After the long and boring drive from Windhoek to
Keetmanshoop the Gessert's Guest House was a real treat. The beautiful,
green garden was a delight and we immediately felt comfortable.
Our room had a small private terrace and the rooms are very nicely
decorated.
The beds are excellent, the service perfect and the breakfast an
absolute hit! We have not found a better breakfast in Namibia! The
scrambled eggs with various little things around it I've missed
throughout the rest of our trip! Tea / coffee and biscuits are available
around the clock in the breakfast room. Hendrik, the owner, has
a stunning sense of humour and takes good care of everything, gives
tips for trips and restaurants and does everything to ensure you
have a pleasant stay! We would not hesitate to go back again! |

My highlight was breakfast |
We were traveling from cape town to Swakopmund and
we spent a night at Guesthouse Gesserts. Gesserts is a small but
absolutely lovingly-run guest house, everything is decorated incredibly
charming and the rooms leave nothing to desire, from air conditioning
and hair dryer. My highlight was breakfast, fresh bread and rolls,
great decorated fruit / meat platter with fresh cold cuts, scrambled
eggs, everything was there, coffee tasted well. |

Wonderful gardens |
The Pension Gessert is easy to find, you can park
onsite. The welcome was very friendly; there was a smell of fresh
baked bread when we arrived. Our room was nice, a refrigerator was
available. There is wonderful garden with a pool, free Wi-Fi was
available. Breakfast the next day was great, there was nothing missing.
