Reviews of Hammerstein Lodge in Maltahohe Namibia

Hammerstein does not carry the quality label "Lodge", and for good reason.

The guest farm offers less comfort than a lodge; the food is simple. But still feels quite well.

Management and operation are very concerned about the rating; the food is simple but well prepared.

The small zoo with caracal, a leopard and several (very trusting) Cheetahs is definitely worth a visit, especially for children and the tame Springbok is certainly an event.

The accommodation is at best and most literal sense inexpensive.

We were staying with a tour group at this lodge.

Before the arrival of our tour guide had mentioned that it is a simple accommodation, however, the dinner was very good. In both statements, he was right.

The rooms were clean, the facility itself was ok, the staff very friendly. I especially liked the predator area.
