Reviews of Kunene River Lodge in Ruacana Namibia

Nestled at the end of a chaotic track, the lodge appears to be a safe haven along the Kunene River which marks the border with Angola. The staff was really friendly, and helpful. The rooms are very nice, very comfortable and very clean. Meals on the terrace overlooking the river have a special charm, excellent food and good wine cellar. We had the chance to see two crocs including a very impressive female.

We stayed in September 2012 in the Kunene River Lodge. Everything was very relaxed and good recreational value. My highlight was the White water River Rafting Tour. Pure adrenaline! Accommodation was clean, plenty of food to choose from, the owners are with heart and soul. Great view of the river, hard to believe that on the other side is Angola.

The lodge is a gem, situated on the banks of the Maas on the road that leads to Ruacana. The owner is companionable we really felt at home here. Dinner was served on the wooden pier in an intimate and relaxed environment; the bungalows are clean and spacious with separate toilet and shower. The rooms are well equipped with kettle and safe, to access this lodge a 4WD is needed
