Reviews of Hotel Pension D'Avignon in Swakopmund Namibia

The hotel is just two blocks from the beach and near the shopping centre. There is a great selection of shop in the centre like restaurants, liquor shop, galleries and internet cafes. The breakfast room was airy and the food was superb, the hosts were friendly and knowledgeable. The room were spacious, spotless and the linen was crisp, there is nothing extra ordinary about this establishment

We were rudely welcomed and ignored by the woman at the reception who was busy talking on the phone. The room was well-appointed, spotless and the decoration was outdated, the shower was not ideal since it was just a hand held over the bath.

The room had a lot of ants, Breakfast was ok and the portions were small and the juice glass was like a tot glass it was small, I have never in my life seen such a small juice glass. The place is close to the city centre where one can find good restaurant, the owner didn’t seem to like this area at all.

We spent more than a week at Hotel Pension D’ Avignon, the rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable and serviced daily. The downside for me was that the room was not well equipped; there was no kettle and bar fridge. Breakfast was just edible but reasonable priced, the establishment is centrally located and close to a lot of amenities.
