Reviews of Protea Hotel in Walvis Bay Namibia

The staff was rude and uninterested even though the manager was good and helpful. The staff liked being ordered around instead of taking initiative to look after the guests.

The rooms were just okay nothing extra ordinary; it was simple and lacked creative imagination, the television had less than five channels and there were all boring and I honestly think there are free channels. There are better options in Swakopmund which is not far from this area.

This establishment is more of a pig sty than anything else, check in was lengthy and when I finally got my room, I wouldn’t stand the smell I was so disgusted that I asked to be moved and I was told it was not possible since the establishment was fully booked which I highly doubt.

I was moved the next day only to find that the room lights were not working and the air conditioner was very noisy, I had to open the windows instead just to get some fresh air. There was no water in the morning, I will not return to this lodge ever.
